Opportunities: New Opportunity for Jewish Agency B2B Participants: Career Israel Internship ProgramAt the roundtable discussion held at Business-to-Business (B2B) 2008, the most resounding idea raised by B2B business leaders was their interest in helping place young Jewish adults from overseas in internship programs in Israel's leading companies. The proponents of this idea contended that this is potentially one of the business sectors most important contributions to helping strengthen the next generation of overseas Jews to Israel. The Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce (FICC), as part of its new strategic relationship with the Jewish Agency's Business-to-Business program, raised the flag and initiated in conjunction with the Jewish Agency's MASA program Career Israel Internship Program. FICC is one of Israel's largest business organizations and serves as an umbrella organization for more than 5000 business in Israel (www.chamber.org.il). Career Israel Internship Program is a five-month professional internship open to college/university graduates from all over the world. The program provides internship placements in leading companies and organizations in the private and public sectors in Israel in every field including law, medicine, media, economics, politics, public relations, computer science, business and more. Career Israel in conjunction with Israel Experience provides accommodations, a Hebrew study program, tours and extracurricular enrichment activities. A short track is available too.
