 Israel-theme Shabbat Dinner 6:30PM - - - 
Join JMU Hillel for a Shabbat evening full student speakers and middle-eastern delicacies.JMU's very own students will speak about their trips to Israel and the experiences they had. Speakers include Birthright alum, a JNF spring break participant, and students who both lived abroad and spent semesters abroad in Israel.

 VA Tech - Israel Shabbat-Taglit-Birthright Israel Reunion 7:00AM - - - 
To culminate the Photo Competition which begins March 15, Friends of Israel will organize a second Taglit-Birthright Israel reunion. To be co-sponsored by Hillel, the room will be decorated in Bedouin style with linens covering the ceiling and walls. Students will sit on cushions and blankets around a big tray of tradition Israeli cuisine, in the same manner that the students they ate in the Bedouin tents in Israel. This event is co-sponsored by Multicultural Programming Services and Hillel.

 Georgetown International Diplomacy and Security Conference 12:30PM - 8:00PM 
On Friday, March 19th, Georgetown students and IRC members will have the chance to join over 20 eminent policy experts from around Washington DC at the Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center for a keynote and series of panel discussions on a range of important issues in international affairs. The event, the Georgetown International Diplomacy and Security Conference, will run from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at night, and include an evening reception for all panelists and guests.

Former US Ambassador to the UN Thomas Pickering will be keynoting the conference. Following the keynote speaker, each hour block will feature two panels running concurrently. Speakers on these panels have vast practical and policy experience in their field, such as Ex-USAID Administrator Prof. Andrew Natsios (Human Dimension in East Africa), Asia-Pacific expert Prof. Robert Sutter (Future of Trade Relations in Asia-Pacific), and Locke Lord Strategies’ Mark Siegel (Islam and the West), who is Pakistan’s chief lobbyist in the United States.
