Alumni Relations/Young Leadership Director
- Start Date: Immediately
- Location: New York
The Alumni Relations/Young Leadership Director is responsible to engage and develop the approximately 1,000 Hasbara Fellowships alumni who are now graduated from University.
Hasbara Fellowships is a premier Israel Activism organization on University campuses across North America. Hasbara Fellowships brings hundreds of students to Israel each year for effective pro-Israel activism training. Upon completion of the program, the participants return to their campuses and receive support from Hasbara Fellowships’ Campus Coordinators and Regional Directors to effectively promote and defend Israel on their campuses.
The Young Leadership Director is responsible to continue the engagement of all Hasbara Fellowships alumni after their graduation from University.
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Creating and managing initiatives to allow alumni to volunteer, donate and/or be engaged with Hasbara Fellowships in a variety of ways
- Supporting Hasbara Fellowships’ Young Leadership Board
- Developing and distributing regular newsletters
- Organizing social and educational events
Candidates should have experience in project development/management and event planning. Candidates should also ideally have a strong knowledge of Middle Eastern history and politics, as well as experience in pro-Israel campus activism.
Candidates need to be creative, have strong communication and writing skills, and have strong organizations skills.
The position is based out of Hasbara Fellowships’ national office in New York City.

Regional Campus Director
- Start Date: Part-time Summer 2011, Full-time September 2011
- Location: New York, Chicago, Toronto, Los Angeles
The Campus Director position consists of mentoring, guiding and supporting Hasbara Fellows and other student leaders for Israel throughout the region.The job entails frequent travel to campuses, as well as staffing and teaching classes on our activism training programs in Israel.
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Providing strategic guidance and consultations for the Israel movements at all universities in the region
- Providing resources, financial assistance, and ideas to Hasbara Fellows and other pro-Israel student leaders and campus professionals
- Educating about and promoting Israel on campus
- Creating and coordinating pro-Israel campaigns
- Recruiting top student activists for the Hasbara Fellows activism training program in Israel
Applicants should be recent university graduates with strong knowledge of international politics (particularly concerning the Middle East) and strong experience with campus Israel activism.

Administrative Coordinator
- Start Date: Summer 2011
- Location: New York
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Office and inventory manager
- Administrating the preparation for the Hasbara Fellowships activism training programs (does not include actually traveling to Israel)
- Liaison to students regarding materials and campaigns to be shipped, grants approved, etc
- Assisting with website and database management — helping to keep website and database updated
- Coordinating logistical and financial components of speaker tours and special events
- Compiling seasonal and annual activities reports
Administrative position for someone responsible, organized, attentive to detail, and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with the mission and work of Hasbara Fellowships, as well as professional administrative experience, required.

PR and Community Relations Coordinator
- Start Date: Summer 2011

The responsibilities of the position include:
- Responsible to generate media coverage of Hasbara Fellowships
- Responsible to enhance of-campus visibility of Hasbara Fellowships via community relationships
- Managing Hasbara Fellowships’ public relations portfolio
- Maintaining and enhancing all components of the Hasbara Fellowships website
- Managing social media
- Overseeing digital media projects and other special projects
- Marketing and graphic design
- Coordinating list serve and producing weekly newsletters and communiqués
- Coordinating with and providing support for Hasbara Fellowships campus professionals
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in the field of public relations including: drafting and submitting press releases, forming and maintaining press contacts, speaking and writing for media publication
- Experience or familiarity with basic principles of marketing
- Demonstrated web (XHTML, CMS) and graphic design (Photoshop, Dreamweaver) proficiency required
- Experience with social media outreach
- Strong familiarity with the mission and work of Hasbara Fellowships; commitment to pro-Israel principles, advocacy and programming
